Pushpa 2 Movie Review: Icon star Allu Arjun and famous director Sukumar's movie Pushpa 2: The Rule is coming together. Amidst huge expectations, it was released in 12,500 theaters on Thursday (December 5, 2024). Rashmika Mandanna starred opposite Allu Arjun.. while Srileela performed a special song. Fahadh Fazil, Jagapathi Babu, Anasuya, and Sunil played key roles.
Mythri Movie Makers made the movie Pushpa 2 with a huge budget of about Rs. 500 crore. This time, not national.. international.. not fire, but wildfire. Pushpa 2 Movie Story:
A few weeks after the completion of Pushpa Part 1, Pushpa Part 2 starts. Pushparaj (Allu Arjun) starts his journey as a laborer and becomes the undisputed leader of the red sandalwood syndicate empire. He is used to rushing in with his own mark on anyone who gets in his way. He knows that no matter how big they are, they will be defeated. In this process, Pushparaj is thwarted by SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahad Fazil). Pushpa had previously insulted Bhanwar Singh, so he is waiting for revenge. Shekhawat is thwarting the red sandalwood smuggling operation run by Pushparaj at every step.. A problem arises when he kills a key person in the syndicate.
While his smuggling business is expanding across the country, Pushpa Raj and his wife Srivalli (Rashmika) are happily living their personal lives. Pushpa is a fire outside, but at home, Srivalli is a man who does what she says. Pushpa Raj is the one who does what she says. In this process, he ensures that there are no obstacles to his smuggling business with the support of MP Siddappa (Rao Ramesh). Siddappa also provides funds to his party through Pushpa.
So, one day, Pushpa Raj goes to meet Chief Minister Narasimha Reddy, who has come to Chittoor. Srivalli asks her husband Pushpa to take a photo with the Chief Minister. Pushpa meets the Chief Minister along with Siddappa. But the CM refuses to take the photo, saying that if he takes a photo with a smuggler, he will be politically implicated. Moreover, he insults Srivalli. Pushpa's ego gets hurt. Pushpa decides to remove the CM from the chair and install Siddappa (Rao Ramesh) in that position. What kind of deal will Pushpa Raj make for this?

Pushpa 2 Movie Analysis:
Some movies don't need a story. They don't really need promotions. The movie Pushpa 2 came with such a brand. In this movie, Sukumar did more magic as a director with the story than the story. In this, Sukumar carved the role of Pushpa Raj more sharply. This is the story of Pushpa Raj's journey, who started as an unrecognized laborer and became recognized as the leader who expanded the syndicate empire. In Part 1, the sequence of his rise to the chairman of the Red Sandalwood Syndicate won the hearts of the audience in Telugu as well as other languages.
A hero is... he should be good. He should do good to society by killing the villains who do bad things. This is a thing of the past. Now heroism has changed. There is a villain in the hero too. Both positive and negative are present in him. Such heroism is now pleasing the audience... It is breaking box office records. Pushpa 2 is exactly like that. Pushpa Raj's character.
The director, who started the film with an international touch, tried to connect with elevations at every step. The fierce battle between Pushpa Raj and Shekhawat... Meanwhile, the stunts performed by Shekhawat are impressive. From the scenes of Shekhawat going to the police station to freeing his men, to going to the Chief Minister and politicizing his mark, director Sukku has revealed the strength of Pushpa Raj's character and the nature of it. With this, the director tried to elevate Pushpa's character more than the story in the first half. Overall, the first half revolves around the conflict between Pushpa Srivalli's relationship and Pushparaj and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The Jatara episode in the second half is the highlight of the film. Every time Allu Arjun ties his saree, the theater erupts with screams. Heroism and emotions reach their peak in the Jatara episode. Srivalli's role becomes very crucial in this episode. Overall, Sukumar focused more on emotions in the second half.
The director showed another film with a new villain instead of the villain Shekhawat in the last half hour. It is not good to end Fahadh's character in such a way. It gives the audience mixed feelings. Pushpa's climax fight to save her daughter will give fans a high moment. Sukumar, who led Pushpa 2 with action, relationship, and emotions, is preparing an interesting twist for 'Pushpa 3'. Overall.. Allu Arjun showed wildfire. He didn't slow down at all, as befits the dialogue that says, "It won't slow down at all." In a word, Allu Arjun showed his acting prowess in Pushpa 2.
Pushpa 2 Movie Actors Performance:
Allu Arjun once again showed his mark in the role of Pushparaj. In the first part, he is entertained with the role of 'Pushparaj', who smuggles red sandalwood by saying 'Aye Bidda Idi Na Adda'.. but in this one, he has become a ruler. Chittoor made the audience excited by sharpening his accent and gestures. In short, he made them forget about Allu Arjun and travel with Pushpa. Allu Arjun's performance in Gangalamma's getup went to another level. Rashmika Mandanna was impressed with her performance as Srivalli. She impressed with her dose of glamour as well as emotional scenes. She competed with Allu Arjun in the Jatara episode. Fahad Puzzle as DSP Shekhawat was brilliant with his comedy and villainy. However, it would have been better in some places if he had been more powerful. Rao Ramesh, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, and Anasuya, everyone did justice to their roles.
Technical aspects:
Devisree Prasad's songs and background music are very impactful. In the Jatara episode.. Deviree's music in the climax brings joy to the masses. Sam CS also played a key role in the background music. His own style of music is heard in some places. Cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek has shown every scene richly and in a way that reflects reality.
Editor Naveen Nooli's work is good. Finally, director Sukumar's brilliance is visible in every step of the film. He did magic with his own screenplay. He gave space not only to mass action elements but also to family emotions. Sukku has touched the Pan India level this time with his mark. Sukumar, who made Pushpa win the National Award with himself, has put forward many elements to win the Oscar Award with Pushpa 2.
