Mufasa: The Lion King Movie Review: The movie ‘The Lion King’ was released in 2019. Based on the 2016 film ‘Jungle Book’, ‘Walt Disney Pictures’ and ‘Fairview Entertainment’ made ‘The Lion King’. Its Telugu version also did well.
The movie also did well in Telugu states as people like Nani, Jagapathi Babu, Brahmanandam, and Ali dubbed the Telugu version. Now, as a prequel to it, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ has been made. However, this time, it must be said that Mahesh Babu dubbing the role of ‘Mufasa’ has added a special charm. Let’s find out through this review how much ‘Mufasa’, which came before the audience today, impressed the audience…
Mufasa Movie Story:
This is a conversation between Simba’s daughter Kiara and Rafi after Mufasa’s death. Rafiki tells Kiara the story of his grandfather Mufasa. Due to adverse circumstances, Mufasa (voiced by Mahesh Babu) is separated from his family at a young age. Later, he goes to the kingdom of Milele. At the same time, Taka (voiced by Satya Dev) becomes close to Mufasa.
However, King Obisi does not allow Mufasa to come to his kingdom. He keeps harassing him by calling him an orphan. But Taka treats Mufasa like a brother. Later, due to his cowardice, a group of white lions attacks his mother and runs away without doing anything.
However, Mufasa steps forward and kills the prince of the group of white lions. Later, Mufasa and Taka go to the kingdom of Milele. There, they are introduced to Sharabhi. Later, Rafiki is also introduced. After that, how did Mufasa stand firm in the kingdom of Milele by confronting the white lion king Kiros?
Mufasa The Lion King Movie Analysis:
Storywise, this seems like a regular commercial movie to our Telugu audience. But since the story is set against the backdrop of lions, it feels like a new experience for the audience. Moreover, the range of ‘Mufasa’ has gone somewhere due to Mahesh Babu giving voice-over. Mahesh Babu’s voice has a specialty. Whether it is doing comedy.. or giving a warning to the villain.. the timing of that voice is set correctly.
Plus points:
Mahesh Babu's voice-over
Second half
Screenplay
Length
Minus points:
Confusion for those who have not seen the first part
Seems like a regular story
Overall.. 'Mufasa: The Lion King' is a good experience. Not only Mahesh fans but also family audiences for young children should go to the theater.
Mufasa: The Lion King Movie Rating: 3/5
