The new TV spot for James Gunn's Superman - released by DC Studios - includes some new footage.

There are still several months to go until the release of the long-awaited relaunch of Superman, directed by James Gunn, but Warner Bros. and DC Studios are already in full swing, preparing for a massive promotional campaign. After the success of the first teaser trailer, fans are eagerly awaiting the Super Bowl in mid-February, considered the ideal time to launch the full trailer. In the meantime, to keep the attention high, DC has released a new 30-second TV spot, released online late Sunday morning.

The spot, while repeating much of the images already seen in the teaser, offers some new sequences that have captured the interest of fans. In particular, we notice a scene with Lex Luthor (played by Nicholas Hoult) as he steps off a massive plane, apparently headed towards the Fortress of Solitude. Furthermore, in the final moments of the video, we see Superman flying through a landscape of ice and snow, aiming directly at the camera.

After Henry Cavill's performance, the Man of Steel returns to the big screen with a new face: David Corenswet, known for his roles in Pearl and Twisters, has been chosen to embody the famous superhero. Alongside him, Rachel Brosnahan (Emmy winner for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) will give life to Lois Lane.

The film's cast promises to be stellar, with Nicholas Hoult in the role of Lex Luthor, one of Superman's most iconic enemies. Skyler Gisondo will be Jimmy Olsen, Clark Kent's faithful friend, while Wendell Pierce will play Perry White, the director of the Daily Planet.

Milly Alcock, known for House of the Dragon, will be Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, ready to make her debut before leading a solo film dedicated to her character, scheduled for 2026. Other familiar faces include Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason, aka Metamorpho.

Superman arrives in theaters on July 10, 2025, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
